Western New York Soccer Association(WNYSA) was pleased
to welcome USASA and it's members to Buffalo for it's first Fall Annual meeting .
As the Host State Association , WNYSA assisted in putting together the usual Friday event , taking place at
Niagara Falls. Attendees were treated to the opportunity for
Maid of the Mist
boat tour , and the Cave of the Winds walk behind the falls . WNYSA hosted the event after party , catered by SOHO Bar , owned
by a local BDSL team sponsor .
WNYSA also sponsored an ater-hours suite
where guest were treated to local Genesee Octoberfest and Labatt Blue Bear along authentic Buffalo wings .
Getting onto the meetings , Region 1 saw Tony Falcone (MD) elected as the new Director . Andy
Weiss (MA) was appointed to fill Tony's Deputy-Director for the term's remainder.
Region 1's Secretary , Scott Mapes (VT) was unanimously elected by proclamation in an uncontested event . Congratulations
to all .
USASA also held National elections at Saturday's National Council
Region 1's Cezar Wasecki was re-elected as the at-large Director
, while a new Treasurer Karon Bayer was elected from Region III .
President , John Motta was in a three-person race along with Region I's Fritz Marth and past President Mike Edwards .
After the Ist. round of voting saw no definitive winner . Fritz and Mike both stepped aside
and John Motta was then re-elected .
The event wrapped up with the Hall Of
Fame Dinner where a new round of inductees were celebrated . Thank you to all WNYSA helped in this event !!
